Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. Dr. Mikao Usui rediscovered it in the early 1900's.
Reiki is simple, natural, safe and can be used by anyone. It has been effective in helping virtually every known illness and always creates a beneficial effect. It also works in conjunction with all other medical or therapeutic techniques to relieve side effects and promote recovery, and is based on the concept that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If our “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to become sick or feel stress, if it is high; we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Reiki is non-invasive and involves placing the hands gently on or just above the body. You remain fully clothed at all times. Techniques such as this have been practised for thousands of years. Reiki is a very simple yet powerful natural healing technique that encourages healing on all levels – physical, mental, emotional and spiritual, whilst harmonising and restoring ones own energy systems.
